PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic HR programs and initiatives, with an emphasis on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. The position includes analysis and understanding of the current state of programming, employee data analysis and reporting, and the design and implementation of programs that support the company’s desired culture and goals.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in developing and driving strategic initiatives to foster equity and an inclusive work environment, including the DEI annual plan, business plan initiatives, and special projects as assigned; partner with HR business partners to ensure that internal clients are engaged as appropriate in the plans.
  • Take a lead role in the reporting and analysis of employee data to support the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion mission and plan, including Affirmative Action plans, representation statistics, and benchmarking. Appropriately manage the monthly, quarterly and annual executive reports required to support the plan.
  • Partner with the Exelon corporate DEI and TMOD teams to ensure the successful implementation of Exelon programs within the operating company. Research and recommend best practices and lead the development or selection of special programming to meet Operating Company-specific needs.
  • Track DEI activity across the operating company and provide governance, oversight and design support of client-driven programs.


POSITION SCOPE

  • Operates independently with minimal direction from manager.
  • Partners with HR business partners, talent management/OD specialists, Employee Resource Groups and other internal advocates to support company culture and DEI strategies.
  • Focus is on good judgement, sound analysis, project management and a collaborative style of governance and oversight.
  • Interacts with employees at all levels, including senior leaders.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus eight years of experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated orientation to the business strategy and ability to design programs that support the strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with employee data, including the ability to translate representation data into meaningful and useful insights to guide appropriate actions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to operate independently with minimal direction from manager. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience in leadership and/or DEI program design and implementation.
  • Strong engagement and influence skills at all levels, with an emphasis on collaboration, consensus building and effective communication.
  • Ability to effectively partner with internal HR partners (business partners, talent/OD specialists and corporate centers of expertise) as well as line-based groups such as ERGs and executive committees.
  • Demonstrated personal drive for results, sense of urgency and responsiveness.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, business or related field
  • Experience in HR-related functions that include talent management and leadership development
  • Demonstrated ability to coach senior leaders on sensitive topics
