ComEd’s Smart Grid Programs (SGP) team engages partnerships across the company and communities across the service territory to design and implement impactful projects. The team collaborates with other Engineering department teams to demonstrate a range of advanced energy technologies and their benefits. Innovation is key at ComEd, and employees on the SGP team explore new and exciting ways to better serve our customers and communities. The team manages the Community of the Future Program, STEM Programs along with strategic partnerships and initiatives for Engineering and Smart Grid.
As a business analyst, you will support the Community of the Future (CoF) , an industry-leading approach to community and utility collaboration. Through CoF, ComEd and community leaders are working and learning together to tackle important problems with advanced energy solutions. We envision a technologically advanced community that is connected, green, and resilient; a community in which the smart grid and other initiatives are seamlessly integrated to benefit the everyday lives of ComEd customers. As a business analyst you will support reporting, performance tracking, grant application preparation, and administrative functions of the CoF team, as well as develop and manage individual CoF projects and SGP strategic initiatives to drive sustainability in Bronzeville and Rockford. These job functions require the business analyst to maintain and develop internal collaborations and extend external partnerships.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Perform general analysis and prepare reports to support business operations. Conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis. Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management (e.g., safety, reliability, service level, productivity, etc.). Research and provide statistical financial and operational information. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use. Contribute to the development of shortterm and long-range business planning. Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or Environmental Science or Social Science or Public Health or Humanities or Policy Studies or Planning AND 2 - 5 years related business experience, or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 6 - 10 years relevant business experience is required.
