PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsibility for assisting with the design, testing, implementation, documentation and on-going performance of daily operational and financial processes required for the Company to purchase power in the PJM marketplace and deliver energy to retail customers under a restructured retail environment  Support other Analysts in Department with day-to-day responsibilities and other organizations with strategic initiatives such as the design and implementation of new legislative programs. Note: Position may be required to work extended hours including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for assisting with the execution of operational activities relating to the ComEd Zonal Load.  Assist with verifying generation and tie-line values with neighboring market participants as part of the zonal check-out process under PJM.  
• Particiapte in new generator and tie-line projects and setting them up in Power Tracker, as well as working with other departments to resolve issues related to generators and tie lines.   

JOB SCOPE

The energy, capacity, transmission service and ancillary services purchased and delivered by RESs exceeds $2.5 billion annually. Retail market design issues affect the entire business model. Daily processes affect retail customer billing, short-and long-term load and financial forecasts and after-the-fact reporting and settlement throughout the Company. Electric Supplier Services continually works with senior members of Energy Acquisition, Regulatory & External Affairs, Customer Operations and Load Forecasting in performing daily responsibilities and supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics or relevant discipline and a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with restructured retail marketplace and retail tariffs, billing and enrollments
• Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Electric utility experience familiarity with wholesale electricity marketplace and PJM business rules
